|定窑为赵宋名物，色莹而质润，千百年来备受文人士大夫之推崇，被尊为五大名窑之一。明初曹昭《格古要论》中称道：“古定窑器土脉细腻，色白而有滋润者为贵”，此盘堪称佳例。盘口沿呈葵瓣形，内壁划出花瓣形线条以配合口沿，此种装饰为宋瓷中的经典样式，简洁而不失妩媚，符合宋人的一贯审美。胎骨洁白细腻，内外罩透明釉，呈现出象牙白一般的质感，口沿一道涩圈，外底施釉。釉层较薄，划花处因积釉显现浓淡层次，更衬出线条的简练潇洒与立体感，亦充分体现赵宋一朝之高雅审美。
