|湖田窑为景德镇著名窑场，始烧于五代，终于明。《陶记》、《南窑笔记》、《景德镇陶录》均有记载。湖田窑烧制的青白釉，釉汁在焙烧时粘度小而使薄处泛白，积釉处带水绿色，釉面的光泽度强。虽然景德镇烧造青白釉瓷的窑厂很多，但以湖田窑规模最大，其产品种类丰富，品质精良，最具代表性。此件器物乃雕塑制作，其菩萨神态慈祥甜美，乃元代湖田窑观音像精品。其菩萨微微俯首，犹如上界巡游之态，慈悲之像从神态间隐隐透入而出。整件拍品形巧釉润，塑雕做工不可谓不深，是为一件珍品。
