著录：喜马拉雅艺术网，编号：13091 |尼泊尔||十五╱十六世纪||红铜||纽约苏富比拍卖，2016年3月16日，拍品752号。||大自在天原本为印度教神祗，但佛教亦将此神吸纳进来作为自己的守护神，因为他的成佛因缘还未成熟，所以扮演着护持佛法的角色。在佛教中，他居于色界之顶，因其居处不同，而有大自在天、商羯罗天、伊舍那天等种种名称。他是护世八方天和十二天之一，守护在东北方。据《十二天供仪轨》讲，他面上有三只眼，二牙外出，现忿怒相，身浅青色，左手持劫波杯（髑髅杯），右手持三戟剑，上身以髑髅为璎珞，宝冠上有二仰月，骑在牛背上，边上有二天女持花随侍||来源：||克劳斯·沃契博士珍藏 。||
