|迦叶为释迦牟尼十大弟子之一，来自摩揭陀国，见佛祖时，年已八旬，其少欲知足，常修苦行，受众人膜拜。禅宗一脉，视迦叶尊者为初祖，阿难尊者继二祖，二者常侍佛陀两侧。此尊迦叶像作慈和的年老比丘形貌，特别是在眉毛、眼角及嘴部的刻画上，可谓匠心独运，充分展示了古代匠师塑造人物的卓越技巧。身穿袈裟，左肩可见袈裟环，衣纹自然流畅。两手于胸前结智吉祥印，跣足而立。造像整体漆金，权衡合度，工艺精湛，堪称明代汉传佛教造像中的精品。
