Description

17世纪以后西藏艺术中以历史传说和人物传记等为题材的叙事绘画大加流行，并逐渐形成固定的粉本，粉本借用当时的雕版印画样式流行，如藏区广为流行的释迦摩尼《如意藤本生》。此幅上师成道唐卡也是如此类型，上师位于画面的右下方，环绕上师分布生平到各大寺庙讲经说法事迹。此幅唐卡注重以色彩的渐变表现天界的空间变化及人、事物的立体感，应用透视法描绘出山川之远近，技法娴熟，为典型的新勉唐唐卡。
