|壁炉钟为路易十六风格，装饰著名的塞夫勒风格瓷板，纯手工绘制，鲜亮温润的浅粉底色上描绘以丝带系着的夏日花束；每小时整点敲铃报时，八天钟摆采用独特的丝线悬挂方式，钟身外饰以婀娜的花卉纹装饰；圆形表盘上饰罗马数字时标，底足巧妙地设计为陀螺形，钟顶装饰以罗马式花瓶及铜鎏金垂花。|此钟是典型的法国十九世纪作品，但它的形制呈现出流行于1780年期间的新古典主义风格。这种风格深受法国玛丽皇后（Marie-Antoinette）的喜爱。19世纪，法国的尤金尼娅皇后亦深爱这一风格。她对文化艺术颇为重视，并于1862年在枫丹白露宫建立了博物馆，向她的先祖致敬。
