LOT 394 A DOUBLE HANDLED BLACK POTTERY JAR, China, Western Han dynasty, 3rd/ 2nd ct. BC. With two raised eye motifs on both sides, a combed band at the neck, the lozenge-shaped mouth merging with two large loop handles. Traces of red pigment. Age measurement confirmed by Thermoluminescence Analysis 30th November 1998 (Oxford Authentication, no. C298h90). - Provenance: Bought in 1995 from L.H.W.
