时鸭熏甚流行，明代文人朱由炖《元宫词》 钏金鸭烧残午夜香，内家初试越罗裳迨。 可知，宫廷鸭熏早已有之，此鸭形铜制熏仿生而制，形象灵动逼真。 鸭首微昂，似引颈而歌，两翼后敛，短尾后翘，单掌伫于台座之上。香熏由鸭腹分上下两截，腹内中空，子母口。鸭嘴与鸭身通畅连接，熏香点起时，绵绵香气会从鸭嘴处袅袅冒出，神怡自然。匠心独运，活色生香。整器包浆浓厚，实为难得实用珍藏之物。
