作者简介：黄胄(1925-1997)，字映斋，河北蠡县人。著名中国画画家、收藏家，杰出的社会活动家。曾受命轻工部和文化部，领导创建了工艺美术展览馆和中国画研究院，任副院长；历任中国美术家协会理事，全国政协委员、常务委员。艺术道路上遵循“生活是创作的惟一源泉”，长期深入生活，勤奋作画。人物、动作、花鸟无所不精，开创新中国人物画一代新风。尤擅画场面宏大、人物众多的主体性巨作，陈列于中南海、人民大会堂等政务场合。其作品屡次获国际奖，受到海外内人士的爱戴。晚年集中毕生财力精力，筹建了中国第一座大型民办公助的艺术馆-炎黄艺术馆。为中国美术事业的发展和国际间艺术交流做出杰出贡献。
