许林邨(1913-2005)，以字行，名枝海，号泼墨老人。生于1913年6月，北京人。祖籍河南灵宝。祖父许叶棻是清末知名书画家，光绪十五年授翰林院学士。父许佑平亦擅长书法，早年曾开设“新文玩书画店”，以经营家藏及亲友物品。所以林邨少年时代对中国书画见多识广、奠定了他爱好书画的基础。以后向衡为公、胡佩衡、徐纯根、汤定之等名家学山水。又从张伯英、陆和九等研习书法。年长后即以此业。1959年参加北京国画社和北京书法研究社，时书画、篆刻颇有知名度。当时中青年人如王成喜、刘炳森等人都先后师从于他。为北京书法协会会员、北京中国画研究会、北京诗词学会书画会理事、齐白石艺术研究会理事、北京海峡两岸书画联谊会、北京文物保护协会理事。1987年被聘为北京市文史研究馆馆员。
