|袈裟，为佛教僧众所穿法衣，其上有福田格，因此别称“福田衣”。袈裟分三种，“五衣”、“七衣”和“大衣”。“五衣”是平常起卧时用的；“七衣”是听经闻法、诵经礼忏、或是大众集会时用的；“大衣”是说法、论辩、羯磨，或是面见国王重臣时用的。“大衣”分九品，从“下下品”九条，每条两长一短，共二十七隔；直至“上上品”二十五条，每条四长一短，共一百二十五隔。 此件袈裟衣身以明黄色团龙纹织金缎为料，将其分割为二十一条，每条四长一短，共一百零五隔，按形制为“大衣”中的“上下品”，色用明黄，应是皇家大庙中地位崇高的僧人出席重要场合时所用。
