拍品精铜铸造，端正挺拔，整作六方造型，器身线条转折明朗，落落大方，平口外侈，束颈细长，两侧对设兽耳，溜肩鼓腹，底承外撇圈足。兽耳出于颈部，口吐圈把，耳形欣长，线条韧劲柔美，落于肩部，与方瓶形成鲜明的比对，相映成趣。颈部以细密的云雷纹为地，其上饰两两相对的凤鸟纹，圈足饰海水纹，以多层次表现出海水的远近，极为写实。
整器身形周正，铸胎规整，入手分量适宜。透露出浓浓的古雅隽逸之姿，辅以厚重古润的皮壳，最宜书斋插花观赏，引人常入“影落空阶初月冷，香生别院晚风微”之境。
