本场Lot10-13为同风格堆彩果形盒，北京故宫博物院及台北故宫均有同款。
明代著名制漆艺人黄成所著《髹饰录》载：“剔彩—名雕彩漆。有重色雕漆，有堆色雕漆。扣红花、绿叶、紫枝、黄果、彩云、黑石，轻重雷文之类，绚艳悦目。”
此盒作西瓜形，盒内及底髹黑漆，盒盖剔绿西瓜纹，以回字纹为锦地，瓜藤柔韧多姿，大叶肥厚，自然垂搭，瓜果饱满，上衬卍字菱花锦纹，纹饰生动，间隙处理得当，并无堆砌繁琐之感，叶脉刻画亦毫不含糊。盒壁雕龟背锦纹。
这件堆彩西瓜纹盒雕漆技法娴熟，刀锋隐起圆润，髹漆肥厚，是传世漆盒中品相极佳者，其整器保存完好，毫无磨损与开裂。
