扎古扎雅是藏语桃树的音译，此木碗被认为有保健功效，自康熙时期开始，西藏每逢初春即向宫廷进献此种扎古扎雅木碗。而笃信藏传佛教的乾隆皇帝更是十分喜爱，御制诗文中咏其至少有八首，并命御窑厂烧制仿生瓷，可见其重视程度。
此碗樱木胎，碗内、口沿、下腹及足胫包银。敞口外撇，深腹近直，下承高足，足底平整。下腹部通景浅浮雕主体纹饰云龙纹，中央绽放宝相花一朵，两侧苍龙穿梭于火焰卷云之间，须髯前探，双目圆睁，鬃发后杨，龙身健韧，予人威武庄严之感。
整器取材珍罕，清代深得圣意，故宫博物院所藏扎古扎雅木碗系由西藏地区进贡，配有特制碗套，并有入宫后度身配作的木匣，足见清代帝王珍爱之情。乾隆皇帝更是依其纹理仿制瓷器，可见其历史地位。且品相良好，工艺精细，兼历史与收藏价值。
