此拍品是刘泽棉先生为1997年为迎接香港回归，在港举办“刘泽棉从艺50周年回顾展”的其中一件展品，并出版专题画。刘泽棉（1937-），生于四代相传的陶艺世家，师承叔公刘佐朝，并深受刘传等名家的影响，曾于1958年进修于中央工艺美术学院。1987年、1997年先后两次在香港举办个人作品展。2002年应邀到美国路易州大学讲学，进行陶艺交流。
