此尊造型取自商周青铜，原为酒具，自宋代开始生产瓷质花觚，其功能亦由酒具转变为陈设用器。明末清初之际，瓷质花觚开始大量制作，尤以康熙时最盛。本品造型规整，器型由花觚演变而来，因其器口外撇，呈凤尾状，故称凤尾尊。敞口外侈，长束颈，丰肩鼓腹，圈足外撇，修胎精细。器型秀美。通体以青花绘制纹饰，发色青翠亮丽，纯净浓艳。整器通景式构图，画面山峦起伏，河水潺湲，近处重岩迭嶂，溪水浩渺，望之俨然。图中高士对谈，笔法精妙，非一般匠人所能。全器画意丰富，且画面清新，布局疏朗，意境清幽，极具文人气息。
