Chinese oxblood glazed vase of pear shape, bearing six character underglaze Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) Daoguang mark to underside, together with a hardwood stand carved with a pierced scrolling floral design. 12" H x 7" diameter. Provenance: Property from the Manhattan estate of Indrani Yogasundram who lived in many different countries with her husband, Yogaraj, during his decades-long career as a Sri Lankan diplomat. In addition to the heirloom jewelry she possessed, Indrani acquired jewelry, art, and ornaments while stationed in China (1960-63), Sri Lanka (1963-65), and Iraq (1965-1967).
