贾平凹，1952年出生于陕西丹凤县棣花镇，1974年开始发表作品，1975年毕业于西北大学中文系。现为全国人大代表、中国作家协会副主席、陕西省作家协会主席、西安市文联主席、《延河》 《美文》杂志主编。作品曾获得国家级文学奖五次，即“茅盾文学奖”“鲁迅文学奖”“全国优秀短篇小说奖”“全国优秀中篇小说奖”“全国优秀散文（集）奖”；另获“华语传媒文学大奖”“施耐庵文学奖”“老舍文学奖”“冰心散文奖”“朱自清散文奖”“当代文学奖”“人民文学奖”等50余次；并获美国“美孚飞马文学奖”，法国“费米娜文学奖”，香港“红楼梦•世界华人长篇小说奖”，首届北京大学“王默人-周安仪世界华文文学奖”，法国“法兰西文学艺术骑士勋章”。
