【款识】到头清白。清白二字不与时违，白石。 【钤印】齐大（白文） 按语：齐白石生于“糠菜半年粮”的穷苦之家，认为白菜是菜中之王，宣称“菜根香处最相思”，故常以白菜谐“清白”之音，一生喜画白菜，并以自己的作品画面能够洋溢“蔬笋气”为荣。本幅作品白石老人用水墨体现白菜的干净、壮实，带着泥土的芳香。他用篆书笔法中锋一转锋，准确地勾出白菜的轮廓，再用蹲笔刷出菜叶，然后用小笔破墨勾筋，使菜叶墨色丰富，层次分明。下方萝卜以没骨法写出，色彩的浓淡晕染将萝卜饱满的特征恰当地表现出来。整幅构图饱满，色彩热烈，显示出一种喜庆、乐观的情绪
