作者简介：王梦白(1888-1938)，名云，字梦白，号破斋主人、梅边庵，又号彡溪道人、彡道人、彡溪渔隐。江西丰城人，移居浙江衢州彡溪。年轻时在上海钱庄当学徒，自学花鸟画，后赴京为官，公暇深研绘事，以青藤、白阳、林良、新罗为法，朝夕用功，画艺大进，自成一家。1914年拜吴昌硕为师。民国初年到北京，认识陈师曾、姚华、陈半丁，又广临元明清名画真迹，独创一格。擅长花卉、翎毛、走兽，亦长山水、人物，画猴尤着。设色淡雅、没骨点染、情志生动、富有情趣。山水调近高邕之，但萧疏荒寒过之。亦作风俗人物，多旧京下层百姓。
