白玉质挂件，温润光洁，立体圆雕而成。麒麟卧状，粗眉圆目，方口阔鼻，头生双角，脑后长鬃，身躯健硕，花尾上卷，四肢收于腹下，腿部饰鱼鳞纹。麒麟口中吐出宝书，周围仙气环绕。麒麟是中国传统瑞兽，相传孔子诞生之前，有麒麟吐玉书于其家院，而孔子出生后，人们便称他为“麒麟儿”。整件造形细致稳重，刀工圆熟，技艺精湛，是同类器物中的精品。
