Description A BLUE AND WHITE 'DEER AND CRANE' PORCELAIN DISH, QING DYNASTYChina, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), end of the 19th century. The shallow rounded sides resting on a short ring foot, decorated to the interior with a strutting deer, its head raised towards a crane perched on a pine branch. The backside with bamboo sprays. The base unglazed.Condition: Good condition, some wear, light surface scratches, and a hairline with associated touched up chip to the rim.Provenance: From the collection of Teddy Hahn, Darmstadt, and thence by descent to the present owner.
