Description A PAIR OF BLUE AND WHITE 'PALACE GARDEN' PORCELAIN DISHES, QINGChina, 19th century, Qing dynasty (1644-1912). The shallow rounded sides supported on a tapered foot and rising to an everted rim. Each dish painted to the interior in underglaze blue with courtiers at a desk, and a young boy boiling hot water, all within an elegant pavilion shrouded by clouds and rocks. The reverse with a landscape design, and the base with a double circle.Condition: Very good condition, few light surface scratches, and firing flaws including fritting.Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland. This lot was acquired by second generation members of the Holzapfel family after 1970 and has remained in the family ever since.Weight: 344 g and 347 gDimensions: Diameter 21 cm and 20.8 cm
