作者简介：周怀民(1906-1996)，现代美术家，原名仁，斋号双柳书屋、水云阁。江苏无锡人，居于北京。早年学土木建筑，从事建筑设计工作。十九岁入北京电报局当实习生。1926年入北京中国画学会，从吴镜汀学山水，宗马远、夏圭、黄宾虹。擅长山水，尤擅画葡萄、芦塘。山水兼具北宗山水峻峭挺拔和南宗山水笔墨湿润秀逸之长，笔墨雄健厚重，意境清疏韶秀，风格肃穆恬静。所作葡萄，完全以墨之浓淡、干湿为之，晶莹欲滴，霜粉可触；所作芦塘自树旗帜，独辟蹊径。
