此鼎爐方耳直立，口沿外翻，唇口方厚，腹微鼓圓收，下承三足。上蓋紅木鏤雕龍紋為頂蓋，蓋頂飾玉石鈕，配有紅木如意雲頭底座。鼎飾雙耳外撇口沿部以錯銀絲工藝飾回紋一周，腹部飾饕餮紋，均以嵌銀工藝體現，以留白的手法突出主題的饕餮紋飾，三足之上分別嵌銀柱體裝飾，此鼎所錯銀線均勻細緻，打磨極為工整，雖形自商周之器，而留白反襯之法又頗得時趣。此爐體積碩大，給人一種端莊霸氣之感。整器既有青銅之高貴，又仰宣銅之文明，清初鼎盛之做，收藏者追尋之器物也，工藝及藝術性極強，極具收藏價值，實為書房會所陳設之佳器。
