Watching the waterfall, 高士观瀑 Dimensions with frame: 88 x 47 cm painting: 74 x 37 cm Two scholars, one with a glass and one with a bottle, kneel down to admire the waterfall. Although they did not speak, they expressed their wor for the natural world. This work by Fu Bao shi came from a Taiwanese collector. The collector bought it from Shanghai temple in 1966, the picture was damaged already, and almost all the inscriptions and postscripts on the right side were burned down. The collector restored the painting in 2006. In order to meet the needs of the auction, this painting is specially remounted.
