A graduated set of three Japanese Imari porcelain octagonal bowls, early 20th century, each interior painted in the Chinese style with a blue circular landscape panel beneath the eight horses of Muwang in polychrome enamels, the exterior with Buddhistic emblems, diameters 14.5cm, 17cm and 20cm (largest cracked), together with a pair of small Japanese saucer dishes, painted with dense blue foliage beneath an iron red and gilt rim painted with tassels hung from ruyi-head motifs, underglaze blue pseudo four-character mark of Chenghua to base, diameter 11cm.
