拍品折沿，弧腹渐收，圈足，砂底。胎较厚，胎质细白。通体施红釉，釉色鲜红明亮。因烧造过程中釉层流动之故，口沿处红釉色浅，略泛白色，即“灯草边”，而底端边缘釉汁流垂凝聚，近于黑红色，浓艳厚重，这种不均匀反而增添了单一红釉的色彩层次，更具装饰效果。这是郎窑红的重要特征，它是清代著名的铜红釉品种，色彩鲜艳绚丽，且具有一种强烈的玻璃光泽，成品的郎红往往于口沿露出白胎，呈现出旋状白线，俗称“灯草边”。此洗流釉不过底足，有“脱口垂足郎不流”之称。
