The bag is made from several layers of leather sheets that are sewn and reinforced together with iron corner fittings and rivet tacks. The exterior decorated with colorful floss embroidery threads in simple arabesque motifs. The bag is looped on a thick leather strap with an interlocking brass buckle clasp, with a repousse medallion featuring a mosque within an 8-pointed star.
