A pair of Nantgarw plates c.1818-20, London-decorated in the Sèvres manner with three sprays of flowers around a smaller sprig, each cavetto and rim with a blue line with gilt intersections, the rims with C scroll and floral moulding, impressed NANT-GARW CW marks and gilt Mortlocks marks, 25cm. (2) Provenance: the Lady Rothes Collection. Mortlocks was a firm of London dealers in china and were patrons of both the Sims workshop and that of Robins & Randall.
