A RUBY-RED OVERLAY GLASS 'DRAGON CARP' SNUFF BOTTLE, QING DYNASTY China, 1760-1860. The tapering elongated ovoid body rising from a thick circular foot to an everted lip. Finely carved through the translucent layer of red to the transparent pale amber ground, depicting the dragon gate (longmen) and a dragon carp emerging from churning waves that encircle the base, above a crane, bat, and pavilion floating in swirling clouds, interspersed with auspicious symbols including wan and double circle.

Condition: Very good condition with minor wear, few minuscule nibbles.

清代寶石紅套料龍魚鼻烟壺
中國，1760-1860年。侈口，束頸，削肩，壺身長圓柱體，底部微收，厚圈足。透明淡琥珀色地套寶石紅色釉，雕刻鯉魚躍龍門，底部波濤翻騰；空中仙鶴與蝙蝠飛舞，一個樓閣漂浮在祥雲中，穿插萬字元與其他吉祥紋飾。
