此玺和田碧玉制，玉质凝润碧绿，纯腻细致。交龙钮精雕细琢，工艺超凡。龙首刻画细致，圆眼长须，龙嘴齐平，阴刻鳞纹，神态威猛张扬，给人以威严大气、稳重肃穆之感。印面方形，雕琢抛光一丝不茍，平面打磨平滑如镜，阳刻篆书「五福五代堂宝」六字，布局工整，法度严谨。五福五代堂得名于乾隆皇帝，乾隆四十九年，乾隆皇帝喜得玄孙，五代同堂，欣喜之余题写景福宫“五福五代堂”匾额。
