此品黄玉为材，温润细腻，丝纹明显，富有光泽。其表润淡，整体毫无“火气”，鲜而不俗，稳而不浊，不浮不沉。圆雕瑞兽，造型威猛刚健。身形壮硕，呈匍匐之状，前肢蜷卧，后肢蹲地，四肢收于腹下，头微抬侧望，炯炯有神。刀工流利顺畅，肌理圆润饱满，体态自然协调，背脊作成多道凸棱状，张显力度。瑞兽为神灵动物，自古即为人们所尊崇宝爱，更认其有护卫之功能。古之天子亦认为，自身有天神庇佑，灵兽拱卫。而玉雕作品自古即多有引用，以求其神力，作为庇护。
