A heater shield shaped harness pendant with integral suspension loop, bearing an heraldic device, fess between six crosses for the Beauchamp family; trace remains of enamelling. Found near Cotham, Newark, UK, by Ken Burrell whilst searching with a metal detector 1st February 2022. Apanied by a copy of an image of the arms taken from St Giles' church, Northampton. The arms are for the Beauchamp family, earls of Warwick; Richard Beauchamp, the 13th earl (1382-1489 A.D.) is a possible candidate and Richard II was his godfather; among many other posts he was made responsible for the education of the young Henry VI.
