6th-4th century B.C. A core-formed polychrome opaque glass kohl bottle,posed of a tapering, square-section body, slightly convex base, rounded neck, rolled rim and a raised knop at each shoulder; a brown-black body decorated with a white feather pattern between bands of yellow and white, with alternating yellow, white and brown ropework design to the rim; apanied by a custom-made display stand. 20.2 grams total, 72 mm high (30.8 grams total, 86 mm high including stand) (2 7/8 in. (3 3/8 in)). From a royal Middle Eastern collection, acquired in the 1990s. Old collection label 12891YC, and 8512 and 12891YC to the stand.
