本品为仿生瓷刘海戏金蟾造像，开脸形象生动，人物表情喜庆，身材比列准确，粉彩设色鲜明，十分难得。底印章款：薛长森造，薛长森，江西丰城人，清末民国景德镇雕塑瓷艺名家，善佛像、走兽，作品生动，釉彩精美，与瓷艺大师曾龙升、魏洪泰、游长子等八人组建瓷雕社团“福建会馆”享誉瓷坛，来源：蔡耕先生旧藏，蔡耕（1929-）江西宝应人，曾任中国新闻摄影社记者，上海文艺出版社编辑，嗜好收藏，与谢稚柳、唐云、程十发、王世襄、朱家溍、顾延龙、朱屺瞻、张大壮、江寒汀等众多海上著名书画家及文人雅士多有往来，时常交流心得，互赏臧品。
