款识：“大明宣德年制”六字三行楷书款
鼎是我国古代礼乐制度中最重要的器种，亦是国家政权和个人社会等级的典型代表器物，据《公羊传·桓公二年》记载：“礼祭，天子九鼎、诸侯七鼎、大夫五鼎、元士三也。”规定了不同等级用不同数量的鼎，是为“列鼎制度”。
此熏精铜所铸，方鼎样式。平口板沿，上置双冲耳，耳线及双耳铸造的极为厚实，束直颈，饰两两相对的夔龙纹，方腹扁鼓，上下宽带状弦纹，腹下承接四中空柱足，踞地沉稳有力，足上端浮雕如意云纹。底心铸修“大明宣德年制”六字楷书款。
原配盝顶式熏盖，中央瑞狮蹲坐以为炉鼎，侧首上视，双耳垂搭，獠牙外露，鬃髯卷曲，盘旋如螺髻，尤其是颈部及背部鬃毛，雕刻入微，丝丝毕现，前肢扶按绣球，取狮子绣球吉祥寓意。
