高士以精铜熔铸而成，身姿绰约。侧首歪头，头戴镤头，额头饱满，杏目微合，口中若有所语；身着广袖束腰长衫，胸前肋骨根根，左臂揶于袖中自然下垂，右手胸前捻指，配合神态，似在禅经论道，亦似踏步行吟，潇洒之至，颇具仙风道骨。
在明代，我国工艺美术发展渐趋成熟，出现了一大批工艺美术类的专业领域制作人才，典型的如琢玉名家陆子冈、刻竹的三松、金漆的杨埙、铸铜的石叟等等。
此尊高士铜像人物比例准确，造型，颇富艺术性，样貌清癯，神情谦和，具有明末典型工艺特征，其通体包浆郁实，呈相老道稳重，殊为难得。
