拍品以汉代青铜壶为本化裁而来，参考一件故宫博物院藏“汉·鸟首提梁壶”，录于《故宫博物院藏文物珍品大系——青铜生活器》，上海科学技术出版社、商务印书（香港）有限公司，2009年，页59，图51.
另见一例为“铜嵌银片枭鹰首提壶”，售于北京华辰2010年春季拍卖会，成交价RMB 358,400，编号1045，可兹赏鉴。
此壶精铜铸造，口上有流，置牺首形盖，流口与牺口有活盖，可开合。盖顶饰有二环，通过横梁与器身相连成鋬，圆鼓腹，饰一道宽带纹，底承圈足。颈部以错金银工艺装饰璎珞纹，腹部饰以饕餮纹及几何纹。
