A Chinese carved pale green hardstone figure of a Bodhisattva, probably Ming DynastyMost likely Avalokitisvara, modelled seated on a lotus base wearing traditional robes and beads, the base inscribed indistinctly to the front with further inscription to the back possibly translating in part 'The Three Kings of the Great Temple', 8cm high. Provenance: Private English collection, acquired prior to 1990. Surface wear throughout. Some nibbles and a small chip to the base.
