拍品尺寸硕大，敞口，弧腹，圈足。底足并书以“万历年制玉堂佳器”八字双行楷书款，款识较为少见，书写工整有力。通体以青花绘就纹饰。外壁绘有躺卧的猿猴、爬在树上狐狸、立于枝头的喜鹊以及闲散觅食的小鹿，并配以近处的山石、野草、栏杆和远处流云、高山楼阁，构图错落有致。盘心绘有趴在松树上猴子、挂在树枝上的蜜蜂窝、立于枝头喜鹊和闲散觅食的小鹿。调皮的猴子手拿枝桠戳弄蜜蜂窝，似想要蜜蜂飞出来去蛰下方的喜鹊和小鹿。旁边并配以山石、野花。场面生动和谐，妙趣横生。整器釉面白中泛青，胎质坚致。青花是为“回青料”，发色也较为浓艳。喜鹊、小鹿、蜜蜂、猴子，连接起来也暗含着“喜禄封侯”的美好愿望。
