同治十一年(1872)皇帝大婚，御窑厂奉旨烧造了大量瓷器以供使用，为烘托吉祥喜庆的气氛，此类瓷器均工艺精湛，配色艳丽华贵，拍品即为个中佳例。造型盈巧，内壁素白，外壁通施珊瑚红釉，以金彩双勾楷书喜字纹，交叠排布，胫部饰两道弦纹。成对保存，较为难得。北京故宫博物院收藏有烧造此种作品之纸质画样，可资参阅。
