释文：源头活则池水清，根本固则枝叶荣。
款识：辛酉年暮春，应□立标同志雅嘱，并希教正，张旭。
钤印：张旭、旭初
张旭初，生于江苏省沭阳县。1940年加入抗日儿童团，就读于抗日小学，沭宿海抗日中学。1944年8月入抗日军政大学，从此戎马倥偬。历任连政指、营政教、团政委、省军区后勤部副政委、省体委主任、中国人民解放军军事体育学院训练部政委(副军职)。参加两淮、辽沈、平津、渡长江、衡宝等战役。1955年国防部授予三级解放勋章,1988年中央军委授予独立荣誉勋章。
