Indus Valley Civilization, Baluchistan, Kulli/Nindowari, Ca. 2400 BC An unusually large and very fine bowl with well painted decoration in black. Three bands of interlinking circles, separated by three horizontal lines the topmost of which band mith metopes showing a striped feline. Repaired on one side with some over-paiting. Size: L:270mm / W:370mm ; 6.5kg Provenance: Property of a London gallery; formely in High Wycombe Estate collection; formerly with UK Antiquities Art dealer B. Lipkin (Collector Antiquities).
