An early 19th century gold-cased desk seal, profusely chased foliate scroll base, mounted with an octagonal bloodstone matrix engraved Edensor Lees, tapered handle with gold, blue and white enamel barely twist decoration, 6cm The village Edensor is situated in the grounds of Chatsworth House. The original village was demolished by 4th Duke of Devonshire when the River Derment was straightened. The village was then re-built by the 6th Duke on a different site.
