三得利的前身为1899年由鸟井信治郎所开设的鸟井商店，以酿制葡萄酒起家。1922年创立寿屋公司，1967年更名为三得利株式会社。三得利为日本酒类制造商，目前业务涵盖威士忌、啤酒、饮料等，其中三得利的威士忌事业，可谓日本历史性的启程碑。1923年三得利创建威士忌蒸馏所－山崎蒸馏所，1973年扩建其第二座蒸馏所—白州蒸馏所。
