太白尊为康熙朝新创的文房名品，后世多有仿制，多见豇豆红釉品种，胭脂红釉存世较少。拍品造型端庄优美，口、颈、肩比例协调，通体施胭脂红釉，釉面莹润光亮。置之案头甚适于用，为文人墨客所爱。胭脂红又名胭脂紫、胭脂彩，因其色红若胭脂而得名。胭脂红釉太白尊少见，属珍稀之品。
