A pair of Chinese famille rose vases with enamel decoration dating from the Republic period. Each vase has two framed quatrefoil scenes with figures, and the neck has framed rectangular scenes with pairs of birds in landscapes. All the framed scenes are set against a blue geometric ground with flowers. The foot, shoulder, and mouth have black and red stylized and geometric decoration. The bottoms have 4-character marks. Dimensions are: 9 inches tall X 4 1/2 inches in diameter, 22.9 cm X 11.4 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Both vases are in overall good condition.
