A Chinese horizontal calligraphy and painting of a crane in ink on paper by Ding Yanyong. The calligraphy has one seal, and it is mounted on a silk backing. Dimensions are: 11 1/2 inches tall X 41 1/4 inches wide, 29.2 cm X 104.8 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: It is in overall good condition. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is. Mr. Lee was an accomplished artist in Hong Kong, where he was part of the Lingnan School, before he emigrated to San Francisco. While in San Francisco, he taught Chinese painting techniques and continued to collect Chinese paintings and calligraphy, a practice he had begun in Hong Kong.
