Une belle et rare montre en acier à mouvement quartz, lunette lisse, cadran argent rayonnant, minuterie extérieure, index appliqués, aiguilles et plots lumineux, secondes centrales permanentes et date à 3h. Fond et courone vissés, bracelet d'origine à boucle déployante. Technologiquement très en avance sur son temps, elle est équipée d’un mouvement hybride méca-quartz, d'un échappement à ancre et d'une roue d’ancre. La précision annoncée d'une minute par an est incroyable pour l’époque, en grande partie grâce à l'avancée technique du thermopensé gérant les écarts de température. Notre exemplaire fait partie de la première génération des références 17000, le cadran marqué Oysterquartz à 6h. A noter qu'il s'agit de la première référence à la couronne équipée d'un verre saphir. Peu de Rolex émettent un tic sonnore à chaque seconde ! Technologically far ahead of its time, it is fitted with an hybrid meca-quartz movement with an anchor escapement and an anchor wheel. The announced precision of one minute per year was incredible at this time, in large part thanks to the technical advance of thermopensation which manages temperature variations. Our copy is part of the first generation of references 17000, the dial marked Oysterquartz at 6 o'clock. Note that this is the first crown reference fitted with a sapphire crystal. Few Rolexes make a ticking sound every second !
